In an emergency

Call 000 for police, fire or ambulance — Australia's emergency number works even with a weak signal, and without a SIM if any carrier has coverage.

You're in Litchfield National Park, Litchfield National Park, NT. Mobile reception in this area is not guaranteed — this is exactly why the offline map and GPS position on this page work without signal.

Tell someone your plan and expected return time before you set off. A PLB is the most reliable backup where there's no reception at all.

About this hike

The Tabletop Track is Litchfield National Park's big multi-day undertaking — a roughly 39km grade-4 loop that circles the sandstone Tabletop Range and links together the park's best-known waterfalls, from Florence Falls to Wangi Falls, via Greenant Creek and Walker Creek. Most walkers take three to five days to complete it, camping at designated bush campsites along the way rather than pushing it in one go. The terrain alternates between open eucalypt woodland on the plateau and pockets of monsoon forest lining the creeks and waterfall gorges, a contrast that's part of what makes the walk worth the effort. It's graded for experienced, self-sufficient walkers only — this is a full wilderness circuit, not an extension of Litchfield's popular day-tripper waterfall walks.
