The Cooloola sedge frog or Cooloola tree frog is a species of frog in the subfamily Pelodryadinae.

How to spot it

This amphibian's back is yellowish green, speckled with dark spots, and the hidden surfaces of its thighs are orange with a purple-brown stripe. The belly is grainy and white in color.

Freycinet's frog, also known as the wallum rocket frog, is a species of frog. It inhabits coastal areas from Fraser Island, Queensland, south to the Jervis Bay Territory of New South Wales.

How to spot it

This is a variable species of frog, reaching 45 mm in length. It is normally brown on the dorsal surface with large lighter or darker patches or raised dots; in some specimens, these patches can be very indistinct to almost nonexistent. A triangular shape of the same colour as the patches is present on the snout, another larger triangular shape is present behind the eyes, almost looking like a reflection to the one on the snout. The swamp wallaby is a small, dark-coated marsupial found in thick forest and scrub understorey down the entire east coast of Australia, notable for being almost continuously pregnant throughout its reproductive life.

How to spot it

Look for a dark brown to black back contrasting with a light yellow to rufous-orange chest, a pale cheek stripe, and often a white-tipped tail. It moves with its head held low and tail out straight, and is usually flushed alone from dense undergrowth rather than seen grazing in the open like a kangaroo.
