About
Not discovered by botanist David Jinks until 1994, this warm temperate rainforest tree is restricted to a single creek catchment on the Springbrook Plateau plus one population across the border in Numinbah Nature Reserve, NSW.
How to spot it
Trees to around 30m with pale lichen-covered bark, seedling/coppice leaves with 5-7 leaflets versus 1-3 on mature foliage, cream four-petalled flowers, small brown segmented capsules.
