About
One of the two dominant tree species of Beowa National Park's dry eucalypt forest, alongside red bloodwood. Its timber has long been used commercially for construction, flooring and export woodchips.
How to spot it
Rough, fibrous bark on the trunk and larger branches with smooth white-to-yellow bark above. Glossy green, lance-shaped adult leaves 85-195mm long, and white flowers in groups of 7-15 followed by barrel-shaped or conical fruit.
