About

A rainforest tree of Nerang National Park's critically endangered lowland rainforest, pushed to the brink of extinction across its range by the introduced fungal pathogen myrtle rust.

How to spot it

Triple-veined opposite elliptical leaves with one central vein and two curved marginal veins, reddish-brown scaly stringy bark, white fragrant flowers Aug-Oct, berries turning from red to shiny black.
