About
Spiny-leaved coastal tree with prominent aerial prop roots, found along Burleigh Head's seaward slopes where rainbow lorikeets feed on the blossoms of surrounding vegetation.
How to spot it
Spirally arranged saw-edged leaves up to 150cm, prominent stilt-like prop roots, pineapple-like segmented fruit.
