About
A rare subtropical rainforest tree confirmed within Lamington National Park, bearing large, deeply-veined leaves and dark red edible fruit similar to its better-known relative, the Davidson's plum.
How to spot it
Large simple leaves with a pleated, veiny texture, often clustered near the trunk. Fruit is a dark reddish-purple drupe growing directly off the trunk or main branches (cauliflory).
