About

Grows in the sheltered valleys of Girraween National Park's tall open eucalypt forest, part of a range stretching from Stanthorpe in far southeastern Queensland down through New England, NSW.

How to spot it

Thick rough fissured fibrous bark, heart-shaped juvenile leaves maturing to lance-shaped, white flowers in groups of seven, woody conical or hemispherical capsule fruit.
