Flinders Ranges Wattle

About

A bushy, spreading shrub endemic to South Australia, native to the Flinders Ranges, Gawler Ranges and Eyre Peninsula, where it grows among rocky outcrops on hillsides and along rocky creek lines.

How to spot it

Narrow, willow-like phyllodes 50-140mm long with a pointed tip, pale-to-lemon-yellow flowers in spherical heads (8-16 per raceme) appearing in autumn/winter, often pendulous branchlets with a whitish powdery coating. Grows 2-4m tall.
