About

Grows near the sea behind K'gari's beaches and estuaries, tolerant of salt spray and shifting sand along the island's exposed dune systems.

How to spot it

Slender drooping branchlets to 30cm with scale-leaves in whorls of 7-8, scaly greyish-brown to black bark on mature trees, woody oval fruit 10-24mm with winged seeds.
