Andersonia auriculata is an erect or spreading shrub that typically grows to a height of 10–30 cm (3.9–11.8 in). Its leaves are spreading, twisted lance-shaped, 5–15 mm (0.20–0.59 in) long and 1–3 mm (0.039–0.118 in) wide. The bracteoles on the higher flowers are sepal-like and sometimes longer than the sepals.
